Got a deal on some corn $5 for 50lbs through one of my dads buddies today.. Going to go load up today and take it down south this weekend to store some down there and save myself some trips in the future, and also gained permission to hunt a north farm 120 acres and south farm 80 acres!

My wife always tells me that if she knew I was going to get into hunting as much as I am she would have never married me.

Heck, I took my wife to Rogers one day. Once we got there she asked, can get my bow now. Yep, my wife has a bow now.

Get your wife in to hunting.

Anyone ever hung a camera up on public land? I'm gonna throw one cheap one i have up this weekend and I'm not checking it until the first week of November when I'm going to my tree for my hunt... How should I hang it up? Lock it? It's far far back in the woods... Taking a kayak to get to the spot but you never know somebody can snatch it up! Ad it's a white flash so won't be hard to see

Boy Andrew, that is a toughy. I've never hung a camera on public ground. I've found them before but never messed with them. Some people don't understand the fact that if it ain't mine don't &$%# with it. I guess, if you are that far back it might be worth taking a chance.

Finding a spot on public land I want to hunt during the rut is so hard as is.. Using topo maps and everything still undecided and not very confident.. I have that one spot I'd like to hang the camera but that's it

You can always take one lock on ladder leg and hang it at about 10 feet. I've never hung one on public land but have seen folks do that.

I use LW stands quite a bit. Their climbing sticks would be perfect for this type of setup. I've learned over the years, especially with my job, that people don't look up. If you could hang it up in a place that isn't obvious you might get away with it. If most of these thieves would work at a job as hard as they do at stealing things they would have a career.
