Guys/girls that use machanicals should aim at the red dot, guys/girls that used fixed shouldn't have a problems with any of them. This was my experience, had to many machanical penetration issues with shoulder over the years. Well acutually only twice but that was enough for me.

    I couldn't disagree more...

The red dot is just barely catching the back of the lungs...not a good place to aim on a broadside deer.

None of the three dots are in areas that should cause penatration problems.

    Very valid question.

My thought process when coming to full draw on a deer is that if I aim just a bit lower, then I catch the heart if the deer doesn't drop. If it does, then I am going to take out both lungs. I can honestly say that by doing this, I have only caught the heart a few times on a few of the 15ish deer I have taken with a bow.

I do hunt out of a treestand (I have taken 4 from the ground), but I am not a go crazy high kind of hunter. On average I would say I'm around 13-15 feet up.
