Just wondering what all you use for broadheads while hunting deer? I have some NAP blood runner 2 blade they seem to shoot good. But I'm about to buy more and just want to know some of your opinions.

    Thanks

I use the NAP 2 blades. This year I have shot both a bear and a deer with them and they did an amazing job both times, I would recommend them. That being said, I also believe that any broadhead will do the trick if you get proper shot placement.

I think i'm going to use the 2 blade's this year. They seem to shoot good and by what a lot of people have told me they seem to have good stopping power, but yes i couldn't agree with you more that shot placement is everything.

Rage 2 blade! I have killed 20 in a row with Rage broadheads without losing one deer! You will hear from alot of Rage haters, but I have shot everything from Muzzy to Thunderhead to Montec, etc..........NOTHING will stop a deer like a well placed Rage! Alot of guys will pipe up with "my broadheads fly right with my field points". Most don't. Rage actually do. Having said that, if the NAP Bloodrunners fly well they should give you the same result.
    Good Luck!

For deer, it just doesn't matter. If they're sharp, consistently balanced and hold together they're going to kill a deer; as long as you do your part and put them on the mark...

I was overwhelmed today by the amount of marketing BS in the latest edition of "Bowhunting" magazine. It's all just marketing hype. Ignore it and just go kill something already!!!

Because most people don't know how to tune their equipment. A properly tuned outfit will shoot ANY broadhead right in with their field points, right in with their unfletched shafts. <--- "PERIOD"

I switched to 125 grain grizzlies for this season, just because my arrow spine is too stiff for my draw weight. Next season I'm going to go for an all new bow and setup, all new arrows, and probably go with the 100 grain rage broadheads.

If you struggle with the tuning there is an easy fix to get the broadhead to shoot exactly like field points and not have to take thehigh risk step of using a mechanical.

Slick tricks shoot for all the hunters I know first time exactly like field points. I never worry about hunters coming with them. However, when they show up with any mechanical all my PH's and I start sweating cause we know there will be trouble on at least a few animal recoveries.

    Over the summer I shot:

    G5 Montec
    Slick Trick GrizzTricks
Trophy Ridge Meat Seeker 3 blade
    NAP 2 Blade Bloodrunners

My favorite of those were the Bloodrunners, then the Grizztricks.
Why: They both flew incredible. At 50 yards I had blades hitting each other. The only reason I chose to go with the bloodrunners over the grizztricks is because I like the 2 1/16 opening they leave.
I actually destroyed all the grizztrick blades and a lot of fletchings due to the blades ramming into each other, remind you, these were all at 50 yards.

Crimson Talons. Fly perfect, twists through targets, so I can imagine what it does to vitals. Great blood trails and makes a serious hole.

I made the switch from spitfire maxx's to the bloodrunner 3 blades and couldn't be happier. I was tired of second guessing if I should shoot fixed blades or mechanicals enter the bloodrunners. The buck I shot this year required a higher shot due to him being at seven yards. The bloodrunner broke two ribs and was buried to the top of the fleching. Here's the entrance wound. I have shot Muzzy 3 blade since they first came out and have never found a good reason to change. I am not one to tinker with success. I have been able to get them to shoot the same as field points with every bow I have used. There are a lot of really good fixed blade broadheads out there.
