I shoot expandables almost all of the time now. With the KE produced by today's bows I like having the extra cutting diameter. Now I'm shooting Bloodrunners which offer the best of both worlds.

Fixed for me. I'm using the new Thunderhead Edge this year and am stoked to see how it performs.

Rocky Mt. Gators for me-this broadhead has now been picked by bass pro.I think they are just as good or maybe better than rage. However I" shoot G5 montec when hunting in a ground blind because of the mess.

As we talked around the fire last night I was sure there would be an argument about this thread.

I use NAP spitfires and they have never let me down. I figure if it isn't broke ...don't fix it.

I have seriously thought about the slick trick line up though

    Probably why I haven't changed.

I would of thought that those blades would open up at the release due to vibration ? :whip:

Fixed blades here for me. Avid anti-mech head guy:hater:

100gr Slick Trick Mags. Have thought about switching to a solid three blade like the Montec or Snuffer SS for sharpening purposes but doubt I will. Until the Slick Tricks fail for me, i.e loss of animal, I will probably not change.

I shoot lots of stuff the one head that will always be in my quiver is a Slick Trick. Last year it was the GrizzTricks, this year I'll go back to ST Mags. I'll also shoot the Blood Runners.

I shoot cheap mechanicals for turkeys, hogs, armadillos, etc...

look i know everybody likes what they like but some of these broadheads out there are way over priced and lack the quality to match the price.hell if i give you damn near $40.00 i least expect you to put the damn things together MUZZY! I've seen rage's come apart in a block target until i see a broadhead that out performs magnus in killing effeciency and price for product matches a lifetime warranty and overall durability of magnus its not a question why pay 30-40 bucks for something that doesnt have a lifetime warranty? that they are too lazy to put together like every other broadhead co.,why buy a broadhead that is going to have you tracking your quarry for a mile and a half? they say rage is like throwing an axe thru an animal well magnus is throwing an axe thru an animal and you are recovering in a 100yrds or less with proper shot placement there is no stop no quit in magnus broadheads you are foolish not to try them average price is 20-25 bucks and they are worth it! lifetime guarentee mike sohm at magnus is a helluva man!

Just some info for you. Most companies do back their broadhead up with a pretty strong warranty. Call them personally and they will take care of you. Magnus isn't the only company with cheap heads...slick tricks are the same price, usually even cheaper. Magnus' Snuffer SS usually runs around $40, more than G5 Montec or NAP Hellrazor.

Magnus isn't the only head that will drop an animal within a hundred yards.

Most companies do not assemble their broadheads for several reasons. Shipping being one of them. Why assemble a broadhead and fit 20 packages in a shippining container when you can fit 40. Also, most archers LIKE to assemble their broadheads, gives a more direct quality control.

I'm not bashing on Magnus at all, I love their products, but we get it. Every broadhead thread you come on bashing anything but Magnus. We got it on the first one. If you woukd like to discuss this further please PM me as I do not want to hijack this thread, it is very informative.

On a side note, my ol' man is trying out the NAP HellRazor this year. Depending on his experiences I may be switching to them. Came out of the package razor sharp and ar of great quality. A 4 pack for $36.99 plus a $10 off rebate? I'm sold:rock:

Sliverflicker, That T-head has probably killed more big game animals than any other broadhead ever. Still on of the sharpest broadheads on the market and extremely accurate. I have often times considered them before every season

The regular old fashioned Snuffers are much cheaper then the SS's. 6 heads for right around 28.00 dollars.
