I am new to Elk hunting. I am wondering what broadheads are the most reliable? I am shooting Maxima reds 250. Weight is 60lbs. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Jim

Stick with a fixed blade for game as big as elk given that you are pulling 60lbs. Also, some western states do not allow the use of mechanical broadheads. I have had good luck with Slick Tricks Magnums.

I pull only 58 lbs. I shoot the black hornets in 125 grain. My arrows total weight with broad head is 430 grains. like Cantexian said get a fixed blade that shoots well for you.

I'm shooting the magnums for elk this year. I just tuned my bow with them the other day. It took about 20 minutes to get them flying excellent out to 50 yds. Also super sharp as I nicked myself while unscrewing it. Broad head wrench is a must.
