How important is it to have the blades on a fixed broadhead align with the vains on the arrow. Will this effect the performance ?

Not important whatsoever and will not affect performance in the least.

It's always seemed to me that guys want to do this more for aesthetics than performance. I don't believe anyone's ever proven it to have any noticeable difference in accuracy either way. So long as your bow and arrows are tuned properly you should be just fine.

Aesthetics is the study of beauty and, more profoundly, the study of perception as it relates to beauty. Traditional works on aesthetics sought to define the basic elements of a work of art or piece of music that defined its beauty. With the advent of postmodernism in the late 20th century, new theories began to question the existence of any objective and universal definition of beauty.

    Your welcome

Too Funny! And no it does not effect the flight of the arrow.
