Question about tuning. When you guys put on your fixed broad heads, does it matter how they line up with the vanes? Obviously I have 3 vanes but i have a 4 blade broad head (slick tricks). I dont even know if you can change how the broadhead lines up with the vanes. I feel like the relationship between vane/bh will be different on each arrow. Interested to hear what you guys think. Thanks.

    Hello Backwoods...

I have nearly the same setup as you. Three Bohning Blazer vanes and 4-Blade RazorTrick broadheads (by SlickTrick). I just shoot 'em! They fly to the same POI as my field tips... so I never worry about 'aligning' vanes and blades.

Aligning the vanes and blades is one of the biggest jokes in tuning. The biggest discerning factors are making sure your bow is tuned, arrows are spined for your bow, and that all your broadheads have been tuned to the arrows.

I always align the blades and fletching. I do it simply so that when I put the arrows in the quiver, I can align them so the blades don't touch and thus the fletching will not touch each other either.

I have to somewhat align my broad heads to my bow more then my vanes. I don't get much clearance with my limb driver and my arrows come all the way up to the end of the rest. So I have to make sure my 2 blade bloodrunners are horizontal on my shelf so there is no contact.
