I don't think I understand BH tuning. I get that they fly differently than FP, but is there a way to "match" the heads to an arrow or is it just a matter of adjusting your sights?

    Thanks, Jim

Thanks Jeff, I,m actually trying to settle between 100g and 125g tips.

my bow is fairly slow 248ish fps w/100g 244 or so w/125s

I'm inclined to want to shoot the 125s (slightly more KE) the owner of the pro shop/range I go to thinks the flatter trajactory of a faster arrow is better

At any rate , according to gold tip's spine chart I should be ok with either with my 28" shafts.

Does shooting BHs make a difference due to a change in FOC or is it all in the planing of a fixed blade?

Also my shooting may be the weak link in this equation :o if I had Tiger's driver I still couldn't hit a golf ball 300 yards :D

    Thanks Jim

Go with the 125 grain BH. You will get a better FOC, better weight and better momentum. 4 fps is NOT a flatter trajectory. No one has said anything near convincing to me of why a "flatter trajectory" is important other than to sell you "speed".

At 50 yds and 300 fps your arrow gets there in 1/2 a second. At 50 yds and 200 fps your arrow gets there 1/4 of a second later. At shorter ranges the time difference is even smaller. Both arrows will pass through but maybe the slower, much heavier arrow handles bone or operator error much better, think forgiveness. IMO all the "flatter trajectory" bs does is try to make you buy speed at higher cost to you with no real benefit.

    What they said^^^^^^

Also look up Easton's tuning guide. Great info, easy to understand.

Also it is CRITICAL that your heads spin true on your arrow. Otherwise you'll be in for a nightmare
