Negative. I think we tested 22 or 24 heads which in all honest was probably too many. It takes a LONG time to do all of this stuff.

Will this video be posted on the main page, or under product reviews? Thanks for taking the time, looking forward to watching.

I was alerted on my desktop at work this afternoon with a message popping up in the corner and clicked on it - started to watch it, and then I figured I'd catch the rest when I get home. I've searched all over this website and can't seem to find it??? How is that even possible?

Being that is it August you may have already done the test but I would be interested in differences in grain weight out of the package. What brands are closest to advertised grain weight. I think having an idea of that and matching more or lesser weighted broad heads with more or lesser weighted arrows would be a good idea for everyone's overall accuracy. I got a scale not too long ago and there is variation. None of them are perfect but I am trying to match a slightly underweight arrow with a slightly overweight broad head to get my quiver of arrows as close as possible.

    Justin,

I noticed that the cut diameter of the mechanicals - the Swhacker 2" for example (1-1/16"), does not exactly represent the fully opened position of the blade. Is this common for mechanicals? If so, I cannot imagine the advantage of using them? Just curious?

I noticed the wac'em fixed blade accuracy result was not listed. was this intentional, or am I blind?

Didnt read all posts so if duplicate sorry

Id like to see if there is any difference in fixed blade heads with planing when using light fast arrows compared to heavier slower arrows

Ie if i shot my 510 grain arrow compared to my 420 grain arrow

Never heard of that Trophy taker shuttle t-lock head, but by the looks it performed pretty well! Appreciate all the work you guys put into it!

Yep, combining all categories, the Trophy Taker A-Tac, Ramcat Original, and Muzzy Trocar finished on top. Slight edge to the Ramcat on larger cut diameter and closer group.

Why is this on Vimeo and not Youtube? And you can even actually find it on Vimeo. The only way to get to it is the page link.

It wasn't supposed to be released yet - we're fixing some typos and little mistakes with some of the results. Not sure how the Vimeo link even got out there, but we took it down for now. Should be fixed and hopefully published today. What a pain this has been.

Trial and error, Justin. I know it's a pain, but I think this is great, and I hope it happens every year. I'd much rather hear it from you guys, than some semi-random guy with a YouTube blog.

The testing itself was fine - it's just coordinating all the little details in the video to make sure they're correct that's a pain. One typo or incorrect clip in the wrong place and the Internet police will be all over us.

I concur with Josh. Thanks for doing it! Love these type of tests. I also like how you didn't push any of the products, didn't declare a winner, and left it up to the viewer to determine the results. Good stuff. The only additional thing I'd to see in the future is trying to find a composite that most resembles bone material, and replace the plywood with that with a gel block behind it. I'd like to see which broadhead can penetrate a simulated shoulder shot and how much penetration it gives past that bone into the body. Thanks again, great work!

That's what we're shooting for next year - just need more time to collect a few dozen deer shoulder blades.
