Well done! That should be enough to push a Rage through a broadside deer if shot from a well tuned bow. Wish everyone understood the importance of this before they went out and tried to throw a sawmill through an animal....

Thank-you......thank-you very much. (In my best Elvis impersonation).

I was kind of proud of that one and so glad you picked up on the innuendo.

Personally I wouldn't use mechanicals. I have tried both and they both work but if u make a bad shot and hit the shoulder you will get more penetration with a fixed broadhead compared to a mechanical head

Based on what some say about mechanical heads...I must be the luckiest hunter in the world...I've killed 40+ animals over the years with them (mostly rocket steelheads) and have NEVER had a single issue.

Cx quad fixed blade, I also use 2 blade rages for expandable. Although the muzzy mx 3 seemed to get the best reviews for fixed blade

ahh the great never-ending broadhead debate it's all a matter of personal opinion and individual experience. I've killed deer with both, however Grim Reapers are phenominal thier slogan "watch em drop" is accurate. But again I smoked a dandy 8 point with a muzzy 3 blade that went 30 yards and expired. So as long as it's sharp and your aim is true it really makes no difference. Point in case last year I shot a doe with the cheapest mechanicals out there and she went maybe 70 yards and expired with a massive blood trail (double Lunged her). Think of it this way, if you by a cheap 2.00 knife thats sharp it will still cut you the same as the swoopy spendy one! Don't buy into the hype and hoopla (even though I shoot the grim) it's still my opinion it's just coincidence they have a catchy slogan.

Oh and I'm shooting 408gr arrow @ 280FPS @ 70FtLbs KE. I sacrificed speed for knock down a few Feet Per Second lost is no substitute for arrow placement, I took several deer with my old 240FPS set-up. Great advice on kinetic energy! If any-one were to read hunter reviews on web-sites that sell the rage they would find a majority of the stories are sad ones but on the positive side thier marketing is awesome!
