So this summer i took a half inch off the length of the arrows I was shooting ( friend suggested). I was shooting Field points great all summer long and I picked up some more g5 montecs and gave them a go this morning making sure everything was good before I head out friday morning for the stand. Well they are shooting low and to the left. I tried one of the arrows I had last year ( half inch longer) with exact broadhead and it is nuts on....thoughts? I would really like to get it figured out with the arrows I bought this year since they are new . They are also the same exact arrow.

What is the reasoning behind taking a half in off? You changed the weight of the arrow enough where the BHs will not fly the same now. You need to either BH tune again or just stick with the longer arrow.

Why were you told to cut your length of your arrow?

You changed the dynamic spine of your arrow (now stiffer) which would explain why you're hitting to the left. How low are you? That's a nocking point issue (or you can compensate with the rest).

It would be helpful to know what your setup is (Bow draw weight/length, arrow length, point weight, arrow make, etc.) to see if you indeed should have loped that 1" off. Regardless of whether it was warranted, you need to BH tune again to get your BHs hitting with your FPs. For an easy to follow guide, click the link in my signature, and go to page 11.
