I shoot a 2-Blade Rage and Chisel Tip. But used a few Schwacker, really hoping to get ahold of those Louisiana Purchase broad heads before next season. 2 blade Nap Bloodrunners, I guess would be a hybrid style. 1 1/8" normally, on impact the blades push open to 2 1/16". They've served me well for years
I shoot QAD exodus. I would never change. I have shot 4 bucks with them. 3 out of 4 have been pass thru's They are everything they claim to be...tough dependable and lethal
I was wondering the same thing. I've had success Wasp Drones and G5 Montec but I'm currently giving the Wasp Jak-Knife a try.
Depends on the bow I'm shooting. Spyder 30 60# 3 wac'em 100gr on Easton Flatlines for deer, 3 DRT 100gr on FMJ's for hogs. Arena 30 65# 4 100gr wac'em on FMJ's. Switchback XT 70# 125gr Ramcat's on GT Team Primos
G5 Montec, they fly great and I don't have to adjust anything when switching from my field points, they also create decent blood trails. Have yet had a deer go over 70 yards since using them. Only thing with them is I wish they were a bit sharper but have had no problems getting clean passthroughs.
g5 T3 for whitetail they have never let me down. Killed many animals with them and never had failure. g5 Striker for hogs or if I were to go out west on a big game hunt
Switched from Rage 2 blade chisel tip to Dead Ringer Freak Nasty 3 blade. Haven't killed yet but excited to see the results
I picked up the ones I ordered this morning and put them on the arrows, the Rage/Muzzy folks really did an outstanding job with the design. They pretty much made a fool proof mechanical there is no retaining hardware with this head, they pretty much idiot proofed a mechanical and that is enginnering genius applied.
They work really well also. Got a complete pass through on a double lung and had a blood trail a blind guy could follow.
The G5's are a lot like my Snuffers SS. I sharpen them on wet/dry sand paper. I put 600 grit on a piece of glass and put a drop or two of mineral oil and rub back and forth a few times in each face. Then I use 2000 grit and rub and it will come out mirror smooth. Sharp is an understatement. I line the blades up with the fletching so a pass through is just a tickle.
