    I see you use Rage so if you like them I'd just size down to the SS or Hypodermic+P

    Any rage 2 blade will do the trick, NAP Killzone is a good option too>

    Well,....
    Most bear hunts are a close range thing.
    WHY do you feel the need for a mech head?
    After having 100% failure rate on mech heads, I will

    NEVER let them in my bear camp again!!!

    Now before the nay-sayers start thier bashing, I'll say this..., Not for sure numbers but I'm guessing I have been in on close too 200 archery bow,bear kills. I myself have bow killed about 48-50 . I've only lost one. These have all been killed with boring old muzzys with the exception of a couple thunderheads years ago.
    The farthest recovery in all those has been maybe 60-65 yards!!
    Most go 20-30 and are piled up. Up
    Over the last 5 or so years, I've had guys in camp that have brought upmech heads. Maybe 8-10 have shot bear. Most lost and the few recovered, the closest was about 100-120 yards.

    Bear don't always bleed much and a pass through is important.
    And YES.. I consider a bow shot bear going 100yards without dieing a failure..
    Bash away:argue::biggrin:

    Didn't reply b/c you said mechanical suggestions. But I too would want a fixed blade for bear.

    Killed a bear last year with a NAP Killzone Maxx and he went 40 yards tops. The three I killed previous to that all died from a G5 Montec fixed blade. Any good deer setup will work just as well on bear!
