I'm shooting a fixed blade BH (muzzy mx-3) with full length fletchings. I've heard from some people that to achieve the best flight and to properly set up the arrow that the BH blades and the fletchings should be aligned... Is there truth to this???

No, there is no truth to this. At least from what I've read. If you want to do it for aesthetics, then go for it. But if you think it will help accuracy, you're wasting your time.

Always heard this as well, glad to know that it isn't necessary.

My muzzys have always shot like my field tips. knock on wood.

No they do not need to be aligned. I seriously can't believe there are still people spreading this myth as fact.

Just the other day someone on here posted that as soon as they aligned the fletchings to the blades all their problems were fixed.

Sometimes I think it's just mental that people think they did something and then they concentrate on the shot better.

I saw that post and shook my head. It actually seems like its been brought up a lot here lately. You're probably right about it being a mental thing though.

I don't think it will hurt to have them aligned if you can!
The way I see it if I stick one hand out the window of a car it creates less resistance than 2 hands out the windows so three would be worse. IMHO I tried this once it worked but it was a pain in the A!@
The arrow aligned shot better every time!
    Just not practical! !:ninja:!
