I have been bow hunting for the past 5 days. I decided to use nap bloodrunner 2 blades just to try something new this year because I know no one is going to believe this but.....I didn't care for the rage 2 blades last year. I used the bloodrunners on two different does and had bad blood trails? Granted I hit a little far back but the holes weren't impressive. On the other hand I shot a coyote with a rage 2 blade and man it destroyed it?? I guess I'm going back to the rage again. Anyone had similar experience with bloodrunners?? Oh when I ran out of heads I went to Walmart and bought the only decent heads they had that I saw.... nap Thunderheads? Anyone have any experience with these??

That's what I was trying to say there isn't a 2" cut? Read the post? I said the hole wasn't impressive ..... I guess I should have been more clear. The hole wasn't as advertised.

I think you should definitely go back to the rage BH.

Yeah, the Rage's 2" cut is definitely bigger than the Bloodrunner's 2" cut

Did you look at the holes of the actual carcass, not just the hide? Sometimes the hide holes can be deceiving, but the carcass tells no lies

Maybe your right Hoosier ....maybe my bowtech doesn't have the power....or maybe I should have stayed on the rage band wagon and killed two deer and found them a LOT easier. Same thing though.

I've been using thunderhead for three years and have had few complaints. Other than having to retune my bow when I switch from field tips, they are the best for the money.

I've experienced 4 kills with the bloodrunner 2 blades. Two of which were my own. All four died within 40-50 yards and made an amazingly large hole. Don't know what to tell you.

I shot my doe this year with the 3 blade Bloodrunner. We had 2 great blood trails to follow from both sides. I would definetly recommend the Bloodrunners.

I've now seen two kills with these heads, and both were some of the easiest tracking jobs I've had. Entry and exit holes were massive. Honestly glad I am shooting them after seeing my ole man put them through a deer. They are as advertised.

Killed 3 deer so far this year with rage 2 blade. They were 19th, 20th and 21st deer in a row I have killed since switching to a rage without losing one or having any of those "malfunctions" people like to blame errant shots on.........Thunderheads will work if they are put in the right spot like any broadhead. They are made pretty well. I shot them for a couple of years.

I never used the bloodrunners and for along time I have used Slicktrick razor tricks with 0! complaints they are amazing..but last season i did use a rage 2 blade for a few hunts and took 2 doe and cant say they wernt worth the money bc they did some serious damage and laid the deer out quick..just go back to something that dont cause questions for the season and do some testing this off season and see whats what..just IMOP

The issue here isn't the broadhead - it's your shot placement. You admittedly said you hit them "a little far back", which generally results in a poor blood trail whether you're using a 2" cutting diamater head or a 1 1/8" head. A bad shot is a bad shot, plain and simple. As for the size of the holes - I'd like to see some photos of both shots if possible. I've seen plenty of animals shot with the 2 blade Bloodrunner and have yet to see an entrance hole that wasn't impressive.

As for the Thunderhead - that broadhead has been responsible for killing more animals than any other broadhead in the world over the last 20+ years. You can't go wrong with it. Just make sure you hit them in the right spot. ;)

I agree about shot placement and I really wish I had pics of the holes but I don't. You are right though about the shot bieng to blame. Talked to a buddy this morning and he had the same issue this weekend shooting to far back and having no blood to trace. Been shooting for 9 years now and still seem to get the shakes on a doe? LOL. Guess that's what I love about this sport. Never gets old and boring. I can only tell you that the holes weren't impressive. Compared to my rage heads I can't say I have seen anything that compares. Hossier, my bowtech is a diamond liberty. Probably crappy compared to yalls but hey, it works! Thanks for all input!
