im getting into bowhunting and dont really know what broad heads would be the best. are the great advantages by using fixed or expandable types?

would like to find some that leave a great blood trails, and a tracking device wouldnt be bad either.

    Expandables are better. No contest.

Better blood trails. Instant death. Massive explosions.

I love the Rage 2 blade broadhead, but honestly any broadhead out there will kill a deer.

Which ever one you think is coolest.

I have a 2 bladed rage in my quiver three montecs, and a practice montec .....

I like the fixed blade cause it shoots as well as the rage and I think it looks cooler.

Good news & bad news, there is no "best" head.

    Exactly.

Most of them will do a fine job at killing something...finding one that will fly accurately out of your set up is the biggest thing IMO.

Tell us about what you are shooting and we can give more specific advise. What bow? How many pounds? What DL?

And you don't have to worry about a fixed blade head freezing shut or having to baby it to make sure a few grains of sand don't find their way into the head and lock it up.
