    Both teams have had some big homers early on.

    I don't think 4 runs will be enough to win this though. Cards have to tack a few more on.

    Game 2 is going to be huge in determining the outcome to this series. If the birds go back to the StL down 2 games then it's going to be tough. But if it's 1-1 then home field advantage swings in their favor and we have Carp for game 3, and Garcia for game 5, who is nearly unhittable at home (road starts are a different story, like we saw yesterday).

    Key for the Cards tonight is to get out of the first inning without giving up a run. Jackson can make himself a lot of money tonight with a strong start, but he is terrible in the first inning.

    Braun is a freak. It's good that he is on the national stage, and able to get the attention he has deserved the last few years.
