Anyone have any experience breaking up heavy soil? What did you use?

Our land here in WI is all heavy clay and besides the large fields that the local farmer is going to plant for us, I am planning on doing a couple smaller plots as well. Will an ATV with a Sod Buster work?

I think a tiller is the way to go. Give me a holler when you can.

We have a lot of clay in KY too, and some areas would be hopeless without a tiller. Discs are only good if following behind already plowed dirt.
