Hello everyone! i am looking to get into an outside hobby and i thought hunting sounded great, but i am brand new to this and have done only some gun hunting. So speak slowly for me haha, i have a few questions that i would appreciate if you have time to answer.

What is a good starting bow?

If im this new should i do gun hunting first?

If i bought a bow at Bass Pro or D icks Sporting goods would this be a good location?

What is the range of price i should be looking in?

I do have to wait till the Government comes back before i can get my license don't i?

    How Much is a License?

    Thanks in Advance everyone!! ;)

Don't worry about hunting with a bow this year. It's not a good idea if you haven't been practicing. No you don't have to wait on the government. State government issue licenses and tags, not federal.

Bass Pro and D icks are just fine, but I would recommend going to a local archery shop and explaining you are new to the sport. Have them measure you up, set your draw and peep, and let you take a few shots with it.

Go gun hunting first, it will get you used to scouting, tracking and the moments right before you take an animals life. You won't know any of this and bow hunting is not for everyone.

    Good Luck!
