Ive been shooting a used Parker Ultralight. I read some articles and the said that you should change your bow string yearly. I don't know how long the string has been on there but i noticed it has been served alot and needs to be served in certain areas. Im not going to be able to get an original string from parker because the bow is an older model, but what are some affordable brands. would like to get a string and cables for less than $80.

Bob... go to your local bow shop and have them order you a Winner's Choice bow string and cable set. You won't regret it. They make custom strings for all modern bows.

I had a set of Bucknasty strings on my 07 Allegiance... I installed them in '08... I shoot a lot, and I sold the bow this year with the same strings from Bucknasty... They were awesome...

Alot of great custom string makers out there...
Twisted Archer has strings for like $55 and a portion of that goes to charity... Look him up... Or better yet..

I use Vaportrail strings. Not only are the strings outstanding and the price to match, but if you ever have questions or problems with any of their products, they are one of the finest companies out there in terms of taking care of their customers. Great, great group of people there.
