My 12 year old got me interested in bow hunting and we just purchased our first bows last Wednesday. I thought I'd join the forum and learn, learn and learn.

Please go back to the top and read back down. Every time you see the word addiction, multiply it by a factor of 10. I just started here last August or so and I'm completely hooked. It is hugely addicting and you'll find it's a lot like a bag of lays, you cant stop with just one (shot). But seriously. It's a great sport, lots of fun, and would make for some great father / son time, my twin little girls are only 2, but they still like to help me get the arrows out of the target. If you have any questions, this board is full of some very knowledgeable people. There is another board archerytalk(.com), it's really good for searching an issue, but in my opinion i like this site much better. It's a smaller group of guys and you get a more intimate answer.
First off Welcome 8ball!!!! But you just made the worst decision of your life because this sport is so addicting you will be spending all your money and time on it soon... Have fun and you came to the right place to learn..Walt
