Hello all... just found this forum and am really looking forward to learning more about bowhunting. I used to shoot tournament when I was younger and am just getting back into shooting again. Got me a decent used Mathews a couple months ago that Im getting tuned in. Ive never been hunting before at all and im hoping to get out there for the first time this upcoming deer season. I dont have any mentors, family or friends that are into hunting so im kind of going at this alone for now. If anyone knows of any groups or hunting clubs in the central Illinois area let me know...thanks!
Welcome! Read and research as much as you can and the guys on here will give you lots of very useful info but don't forget that nothing is a better teacher than experience. Get out as much as you can. You will not regret it!

First of all Greg, your not alone anymore. I was in the same boat last year, and it is incredible how much I have learned in one year. I look back now and realize I was going about things all wrong.
