I was asked this by a 10 year old and was completly bamboozled for a while, but eventually riddled it out.

What am I?
You throw away the outside
Cook the inside
Eat the outside
and throw away the inside.

The answer is an ear of corn

 

I didn't make the connection.

 

You have to shuck the corn so you throw away the outside.

You have to cook the corn which was the inside

You eat the corn of the cobb (the outside)

then you throw away the cobb (the inside)

 

I was joking.....

"Gee Mr, Obvious.....I didn't make the connection"

I didn't know you were joking. You would be suprised at how many people wouldn't "make the connection."

I have been called Mr. Obvious (my uncle never lets me forget it either) many times, I have a very literal thought process, what I see is what I understand.

 

LMAO, I was trying to think of something to type along this line.

 

I still think a chicken would make a suitable answer, eh?
