Even when Duke is getting their asses kicked they get the calls.

Brackets are busting all over the place.

Ahhhhh... the Duke bashers are basking in the sun tonight. We get it every year. Some of you get it once or twice in a lifetime. LOL Enjoy.

Even when people whose team has already been beaten by Duke......those who are now pulling against Duke (which is also the norm) are winning.......they still whine.

Duke is certainly an easy team to hate. It all started with Christian Laettner. Really there haven't been the easy-to-hate players besides him, but the Laettner hate is still strong amongst fans some 19 years later...LOL.

Even most honest Duke fans I know will admit they are the most favorably officiated team in college basketball. Michigan State is a close second.

Hey David, where's your flag? :poke:

Arizona got HOT in the second half. They shot 54% from the floor and an incredible 60% from the 3 pt line...I am not sure what team in the country could have beaten those stats in the second half. My hats of to them.

Oh yeah, that coach from Butler could parlay the last two seasons into a mega-million dollar contract at a major university.

That was an incredible second half....biggest shock of the night for me? (well not so much actually)

NEITHER of those posterizing dunks made ESPN Top 10, can't show their prodigy players on Duke getting Balls slapped on their forehead as they are dunked on, lol.

Those two dunks are easily top 5 plays, they were just nasty (regardless who you root for)

Duke, like many other schools including UK (so don't try that comeback), have been vastly over rated all year long.

    No argument from me. WIth Irving @ 100%, they're a top 10 team ("maybe" top 5). Without him (@ 100%), they're a top 16 team.

They got trounced by a good, hot team. Congrats to Arizona. They played like champions, last night.

Duke vastly overrated? A team that won 30 games, played without arguable their best player for 3 months, the ACC player of the year who had one of the best seasons of any player in the country this year, and returned 3 starters from last years national championship team?

I'm not sure how UK was overrated either. They beat Washington, Louisville, ND, Florida and Tennesse each twice.

Dude, you have some seriously high standards. College basketball just wasn't that great this year, as far as teams and talent. Duke was certainly one of the 4 best teams all year, and UK a top 15.

I am guessing Duke will be fine next year;) They were not overrated at all, a very good team. Just was AZ night in the second half.

    It will be OK Dukies;)

I had Kansas, Syracuse, BYU and Duke in the Final 4. I'm toast.

I know it wasn't directed at me. But, I have no issues, personally, with either of those statements.

I agree it was an off year, but to see this team as a one seed just shows me how over rated the top seeds are this year, if a team is top 20 this year outside of OSU and maybe KU, they are all about the same.

UK is over rated this year because they are 6 players deep, two quick fouls on any starter and their season is over, regardless of their solid talent. They also went like 2-7 on the road this year, which is inexcusable. Good wins don't negate bad losses, great teams are SUPPOSED to have good wins.

Duke just doesn't have what it takes to shut down a driving team as they showed last night, they rely too much on threes and shooting like U of L, and it caught up w both teams quick despite high accolades all year.

OSU is the most complete team but who knows at this point w the upsets going on so far.

I wish I had entered my other bracket as well. Time to sit back and watch the decline.

You are correct, I was responding to Trevor's post. But since you replied, what team outside of the top 5 was better than Duke this year over the course of this season? They won 30 games without their most talented player! Sure the ACC was a little soft this year, but winning 30 games is no easy feat.

If Arizona doesn't catch fire in the second half, we don't even have this "overrated" conversation.

Its easy to look at any particular team this year ranked near the top and think "they are not that good, no way are they top 5". But when you look at the other teams out there, they are better than almost all of them. College basketball is going down hill as far as talent is concerned, and I can't see that changing anytime soon.

Trevor, I don't disagree with any of the weaknesses you've mentioned, but again, look at the rest of the field. Lack of talent and/or experience across the board this year.

I don't believe the #1 seeds were overrated at all, they were just 4 of the best teams in a down year. There are no dominant teams this year.

Duke was not overrated this year people.

Arizona just went crazy in the second half. They couldn't do anything wrong. Their tipped rebounds were falling in.

My bracket is mostly shot, but I did have Florida and UConn correct, so I'll drink a few beers for that.

Yup.... we hear Duke is over rated all the time. The last time we heard that was last year. LOL THey played a terrible game... plain and simple When an opponent shoots a higher percentage from 3 point land than they do from the floor.... it's tough.
