On twisting your string to get the sweet spot for brace height, do you just remember how many twists you need each time you string the bow? Seems like I may be missing a trick here. Or it's just early and I am being Doh!!
If that was the case I would be in trouble:d You are Bobby That is very possible have another cup o coffee Bobby. Dont unstring the bow just slide the big loop down the limb, to hold it in place use a rubber band or get a string keeper to hold it while the bow is un braced
Just like Russ said Bobby. When ever I do unstring my recurve, I just slide the loop on down the limbs. If I'm going to take It completely off the bow I'll tape both ends together so they don't unwind.
OK. Yes, that was definately a blond (or gray) moment. Not thinking at all. I can see clearly now the rain is gone. Doh, Doh, Doh!!:d
DOAH!!!!!!!:d :d :d :d You can always put a tip protector on the bottom limb and not have to worry about the string coming off! If you ever have to take the string off or have a backup broken in when you take it off the bow try to take it off with the exact same twist. Then tie the loops together that way when your ready to use it its good to go on the BH. Make sense??:d :d
Look here BHF, I am in a very tedious line of technical work, I have an 19 yr old daughter (whose life is full of drama), a one-year old grandaughter, a 6 yr old daughter, an eleven yr old son, a 14 yr old daughter, and a cat that does not really associate well with me. Why am I stressed and sometimes reluctant to see the common sense within common sense? I have no idea. :d :d :d :d
