Landon, both of my brothers are huge Cowboys fans for over 30 years. That being said, I have to root for the Eagles b/c one of my buddys is their D-coordinator!

As a life long falcon fan...I am torn. I hate the boys, but i also dread seeing Vick as apart of anything good. He pissed all over or city and or organization. I guess the boys can get this one as long as yall promise to loose next week.

Hey Bro, ya'll send vick home and I will close one eye and pretend I do not see yall running the table. Romo has taken a beating about his post seasons, but he is an elite QB and with that D yall have it could be the year.

Boys are DEFINETLY (atleast I hope:D) goin to win, they are the 2nd best team in the NFL right now, yes, better than the Colts, Vikqueens, Saints, Patriots, Bungals, Packers, ect... The only team that I view better is the Chargers because they have "destiny" written all over them.

Yes Caleb, I said the Cowboys are better than the Vikings and Packers:D:p:D, Favre can't win a playoff game entirely by himself, and the rest of the team is breaking down... what happend to "AP" and Jared Allen, they both disappeared. As far as "The Pack" goes, Rodgers has been great, thats a given, but this is a whole new beast and all it takes is one good defensive scheme that creates pressure on him (such as Jay Ratliff, Anthony Spender, DeMarcus Ware, Bradie James, and Bobby Carpenter) and the team is going to struggle like the beginning of the season. He may be a future "elite" quarterback, but in these playoffs, he is going to be overwhelmed.

The Eagles are going to be..... read it slowly.... the ONLY challenge to the Cowboys in the NFC playoff race, one of those two teams IS going to the SB and the Chargers are a lock in the AFC.... mark my words :D

Not dissing, just calling it how I see it... I have watched the Pack this season and they have been very impressive at times, and horrible at others. It seemed that in the big pressure moments of the season (the Vikings games with Favre) they folded under pressure. I see that happening in A-Rod's first playoff run.... with that said, I see the pack in either the NFC championship game or the SB within the next 3 years!

I'll even hold a sign telling you "I said so" in front of the Reconyx and post the pics Steve.... I have faith that the most physical "playoff style" teams are the Eagles and Cowboys:p:D

Of course I would, it would give me a chance to post another Reconyx pic which is always good;):D

Its all good, the Cowboys have FAR suprassed my expectations for them this season... not so much from them letting T.O. go (which was a big loss if Miles Austin didn't step up), but more so because they loss Chris Canty, Greg Ellis, and Roy Williams (the safety) which were some veteran guys who I thought had a big impact on the team (more mentally than physically).... I predicted an 6-10 to 8-8 season for the boys.... definetly didn't pick them to win the division... hell, the team I picked is outta the playoffs (Redskins).... I have missed alot of my predictions this season :D

Football is match-ups.. which is what makes it so fun to predict outcomes.

I'd LOVE to see the Eagles beat those ladies from Texas into the ground.. I even picked those birds to go all the way before the season even began.. but thats unlikely.

The Eagles have had way too many injuries to their O-line and linebacker core this year. So much so.. that I think only like 1 of the 1st stringers is even playing right now.. maybe 2. And their center is playing his 2nd game ever!

The birds linebackers... ugghh! Witherspoon is alright.. Eagles picked him up mid-season from the Rams. 2nd stringer Gochong.. has some future potential... and Jeremiah Trotter was once great.. but had to be re-activated in like the 8th week after loosing ALL of Philly's 1st string core. And he basically RETIRED!

Too bad too... cause the Eagles have a young man named Bradley who mark my words is gonna be something special in this league one day. Unfortunately.. in this.. his 2nd year in the NFL.. they lost him before the season started. Ugggh!

So.. its easy.. the key match-up is the D-line of the 'boys versus the O' line of the birds. Dallas WINS.

And on the other side.. a healthy Dallas O... versus a 2nd string linebacker core and a young D-cordinator.. who has potential.. but is NO Jim Johnson. Dallas WINS.

Eagles have the big play makers.. but my money would be on Dallas. That hurts to say.:(

Eagles only advantage is Andy Reid... a FAR better coach than he gets credit for in the pro-Billichek (sp?) league. He will have a game plan for this one.

I do agree with BuckMagnet though... the road to NFC glory goes through the NFC east. It has for most of the past 10 years. Its the best division in the NFC. Those other divisions are usually of little concern to the high powered west coast offenses and blitzing defenses of the east.

GreenBays stats are just that.. numbers.. numbers from a lousy division where you play some really crappy teams twice. They don't impress me at all. Dallas will chew them up.

And the Vikings will have to play their BEST to beat Dallas if they win Saturday.

But even if Eagles win.. I don't think they can go that far with SO many key injuries.

If you like GreenBay or Minnesota.. you might wanna cheer on the birds tomorrow night.

Duke, I agree with pretty much everything you have said.

The Eagles have been beat up bad this season, with that said, loosing Jim Johson (Rest His Soul) was the biggest hit to that team. Their defense (beside their cornerback play) has been a shell of itself. Witherspoon was a great pick up IMO and has played pretty darn well. Trent Cole is another beast of a pass rusher who may be one of the most under-appreciated pass rushers in the league along with Anthony Spencer of the Cowboys. Those guys flat out get after the QB.

The Eagles offense is "better" than it has ever been, they have a tight end in Brent Celek that is going to be a top 3 TE wihtin another two years and their WR core is great.... Jason Avant is IMO their best reciever... even better the DeSean Jackon. Jackson has speed, and that big play ability... but when I think of a great WR I think of somebody who has hands of glue and is going to be able to pick up those critical first downs when he is being covered well.... I don't see that in D-Jack... he only seems to perform at a high level when he is in the wide open.

Jason Peters is a huge key to the Eagles team as well.... he has played GREAT against the Boys this season but if he slips up at all and allows DeMarcus Ware to get more pressure..... well then I honestly see the Boys tearing through the Eagles wihtout any problems at all. Peters has been given a huge task in trying to stop D-Ware and has done great so far.... his play is key to the Eagles offense and D-Nabb having time to sit in the pocket and wait for something to develop down-field.

Dallas's secondary is good, but IMO has outplayed themselves against the Eagles this year. Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick have played big, and Terrance Newman has performed great as usual.... but Philly's WR's SHOULD be able to beat them....as long as their is time to. Jay Ratliff and Anthony Spencer (along with a few center blitz's from Bradie James and Bobbie Carpenter) have created all of the pressure on D-Nabb this season which has caused D-Nabb to have to get rid of the ball before his plays develop downfield.

After last weeks game, I see D-Nabb getting VERY frustrated with his recievers this week..... he took a TON of blame this week for the passing game from last week.... he wasn't perfect, but the Eagles WR's missed a TON of catchable passes last week. He had a good reason to question his team, but I fear that the lash-back from his comments could hurt the team. I saw DeSean Jackson say something like "I can't throw the ball to myself when I'm open and I just have to deal with the plays that are called".... it MAY not end up that way... but it reminded me ALOT of Terrell Owens when he played for SF, DAL, and PHI.... D-Jack has a CRAZY ego and it is something that I think could end up biting the Eagles team if this game doesn't go their way.

the key to this win for the Boys is Jenkins handeling # 10 for the Birds and our run game must be stellar again.

WOW! This dude knows what he's talking about. My thoughts exactly. I am slightly less confident and not going to guarantee a win lol. I just hope Romos head is in the right place going into the game. Yes he has been brilliant lately, but everyone (including him) knows the story in the playoffs. I hope he doesn't try to put it on his shoulders and try to do too much. Just play within the system please Romo! This Eagles game worries me a little to be honest. They missed a lot of plays last meeting that will unlikely happen again. Also the Boys saw hardly any blitz packages from them for some reason. That will definitely change. But... the Boys did beat them up pretty good in the trenches which you can't do anything about except get whooped.

I agree with the Packers too. Numbers, numbers... Rodgers is the man blah blah blah. I'm not on their bandwagon. They don't impress me at all. They are going to be facing top notch defenses with coordinators figuring out how the WILL (not try to) get pressure on him. It will be back to earlier in the season when he is getting sacked 10 times a game.

Landon, as this thread shows your boys are good...but man it pains America to admit it. The Falcon in me will not allow me to ever admit it...but ya'll have a real good chance to roll on through. Duke made a great assesment (sp) and well will have all our questions answered at 8PM tonight. That Philly D will blitz every down, but last week Dallas spread the offense and ran empty sets...that exposed an already depleted unit badly. Even if the Eagles O could have got rolling, they could not score point for point with them.
