My buddy makes his own 3pc longbows. He's working on his 4th, as we speak. Here's the progress, so far. I think he's really outdone himself......and that's saying a lot.

No finish on the bow, yet. I'm looking forward to seeing and shooting it, this weekend, though.

Nice, I can see why a guy likes to own more than one bow, so many options out there with the wood combos, its never ending!!!!!!!

    Jeff what are the woods?

Not really sure of even the riser's main wood. I know it has a dymonwood, osage and bocote accent. The limb veneers are bocote. Bocote wedges. He's got bamboo in the cores of the limbs. Elk antler tips (he's grooving the tips, currently). I'll find out what the rest of them are.

He's an aviation inspector/technician.....and he's as meticulous as they come.

Guys like Page and Russ amaze me with what they can do with wood. Steve - you'll meet Page this fall, hopefully.

Very nice! Kinda looks like a Shafer riser. I only wish I could make the time to do something like that

    Jeff.

You know anyone can work with wood just let your imagination go wild:p

You really should start thinking about making your own bows, specially seeing Page is close by, you could use his gear and just buy the materials.

I am sure he would give some good instruction.;)

    Russ....

I tell ya....I'm gonna do just that. We're already talking about making me a longbow.....and Page wants to make himself a recurve.

I hope he can remember everything he did on this one......lol. It's gonna be an awesone piece. You guys will have lots to talk about, in CO.
