I have been shooting a Bowtech Tomkat for the last 4 years. It is a great bow and I shoot it very well out to 50 yards. It is the smoothest quietest bow I have ever owned. Tonight I traded a gun for a Bowtech Diamond Black Ice. It is two years old but has not been shot hardly at all.(less than 100 arrows) I got a smoking deal on it. I guess the biggest difference is that the Tomkat has double cams and the Black Ice has a single cam. I won't have a chance to shoot until Sunday.

I guess my question is....have any of you owned a Diamond Black Ice? How do you like it? Was it smooth? Was it quiet? I'm sure I'll keep both of them. I just have to figure out which one is the backup bow.

    Thanks

I owned a Black Ice for a little bit. shot great. upgraded to a Tribute. You won't be dissapointed. I think it's better than the Tomkat. The tomkat to me is like a starter bow, everything comes on it ready to hunt with. either way you won't be dissapointed, and you'll have a decent back up bow.

I've had my Black Ice for two years now. I have bowhunted for almost 30 years. I have hunted with PSE, Bear, Pearson and Parker. Shot probably 25 different bows before buying my latest. The Black Ice is smooth, quite and forgiving. It will be your number one bow. Use the Tomcat for a backup.
