    Hey Guys.
Any Realm SS shooters here and what do you think of the bow.
    Any feedback would be good.

    You double posted on accident.

I was sad when I found out this wasn’t an actual review!

I too am wanting some input from someone who’s been using a realm for a while.

I’ve narrowed down my current search to the Hoyt Helix Ultra and the Bowtech Realm X.

Hopefully somebody here who has shot one substantially will chime in!

I've had a Realm for approximately a year and a half. Killed 2 deer with it so far.

I went into my shop to shoot several "flagship" bows and fully expected to walk out with a Triax, after previously shooting a Z7x and a Mission Ballistic which might as well be a Chill. I ended up shooting the Prime Centergy, Triax, React, and Realm. I shoot LH so my in-stock choices are usually limited a bit.

I'm no Bowtech fanboy; and while I love the bow it's not perfect.

    Pros:
    • Best back wall I've ever shot- bar none. Like nothing else is close. You almost, and I mean almost have to push the release forward to let her rip. You could get twisted into a pretzel in a stand at full draw and the anchor just does not budge. Try that with a Mathews and it'll jump out of your hand. Or at least try like hell to
    • adjustability- in the "Comfort" setting, the bow has THE smoothest draw cycle I've ever drawn. 70# felt like 60, and I'm not exaggerating. In the "Performance" setting, the bow still draws very smooth, shoots flat and fast, and hits like a hammer
    • very tunable
    • valley is deep and sweet (personal preference)
    • dead in the hand
    • good brace height/A2A ratio
    • Comes in Kryptek Altitude which is sexy AF

    Cons:
    • kind of loud. I ended up putting Bowjax aftermarket dampeners on the riser and limb pockets. Helped immensely
    • heavy. I'd say it weighs at least a pound heavier than advertised
      • I shoot 500+gr TAW, which coupled with the heaviness of the bow makes the shot loudness a bit perplexing
    • factory string sucks. lots of twist

What sold me on the bow was the back wall. I usually hunt woods (not field edges) and just too many times I've had to twist around in a tree stand and had a Mathews try to launch itself at the deer.

I don't regret the purchase a bit. Might not be the best 3D bow I've shot, but that's not what I bought it for. Great, and I mean great treestand hunting bow.

    Thanks for that dnoodles!

I’m very interested in the Bowtech realm X. I’m liking the ease of tuning they seem to be known for.

The speed is good and it’s supposed to be a very forgiving shooting bow.

I guess my main concern for Bowtech is durability. I’m not intentionally rough on equipment but I do bang things up here and there and I want a bow that can handle that. I got to draw one back and it is by far my favorite draw cycle.

I have yet to draw back the Hoyt Helix which is the other one I want. I did get to try a mathews traverse. I gave it a pass.
