Thanks for all the kind words guys, and to you Vic for posting this.

For the past 6+ years I've been very fortunate to be able to work in an industry that I really enjoy. I've met a LOT of great people in my travels and like I tell my wife, "I've never met a stranger". I've had the pleasure of meeting many, many people from a lot of different message boards over the years and that still continues. On my way to Oregon last week I made arrangements to meet up with Jason Mez ("MEZ" on Huntingnet) because I knew I would be driving through Sturgis. While we talked he said I was the ONLY person he'd ever met off of the message boards, it kind of blew me away... But then again, he lives in the middle of nowhere...:D

Shortly after that I also met up with the bunch of clowns that were Antelope hunting in Gillette, WY to say my good-byes to them. Though the visit was brief, I'm confident it wasn't the last time we'll see each other... ;)

Through my job I've been fortunate to travel to some pretty awesome places and do some pretty neat things. I mean, there's not alot of people that get paid to go to numerous PBR events (5 in Vegas), multiple NASCAR races, IBO shoots, ASA shoots, Outdoor sports shows, the list goes on and on and on.

I hope to be able to stay within this industry as it is a passion of mine that started as a hobby.

Hope to see some of you again down the road and I also hope to meet some of you for the first time as well... :)

I too have had the pleasure of conversing with Pat. I bought a Tribute back in 06 and emailed him a question which he promptly replied to. I'm sorry to hear of your job loss and I wish good luck in finding the job you really want. Keep your head up!

Yep...I'm another that has been helped by Pat. Bowtech will hopefully realize what a mistake they have made.

I learned of this a few weeks ago, but didn't feel it was my place to bring it to everyones attention. Maybe I was wrong. I have noticed Bowtech falling way down on the customer satisfaction scale this past year. Great Products, but their "new" way of doing things isn't going to fly with most serious archers.

What is the first thing you see when you pick a bowhunter or shooter out of the crowd?

Usually wearing a hat with his Bow of choice on it. Right?

Imagine a new face at Bowtech walking around a show and saying to the representative next to him "I can't believe all the guys wearing our hats"

Then not long afterward decides it would save money not shipping hats with bows any longer. I know that they wanted to get people to send in their warranties, but this is a different issue.
The idea was actually to save money by not giving hats with bows anymore. He was talked out of it briefly, but it looks to be a reality now as I sent in a warranty on my Air Raid and never received a hat. Others have also mentioned this around the shop.

Is it a big deal... to me no, because I have a dozen or so Bowtech hats, but is it a smart business move.... In my opinion NO. Alot of guys like getting that little extra when spending 800.00 for a bow. Plus it advertises their product. This is just an example that came to mind quickly. Maybe not the best example, but...

Letting Pat go was the final straw for me I think. I will be watching which direction Bowtech takes this year. If I don't see any improvments to their marketing and customer service departments I probably have purchased my last Bowtech. And I've owned alot of them. 10 in the last 3 years. Will my lack of purchases hurt them? No, but I'll feel better about it.

Even after what they did with Pat he still has nothing negative to say about them. Most guys would be bashing and slinging mud. Not Pat ! We are all better for having met him and calling him a friend.

    Truly a class act!

I was ready to pull the trigger on an Admiral this next week, but now I think I will wait and see. Bowtech's new CEO seems to be taking the company in the wrong direction. This is why a "hired" CEO is one of the worst things a company can do. They have no "stake" in the company and if they screw it up they take their money and run, mean while the people who worked their butts of to make the company what it was are SOL. A great example of this is HNI, it's why I like to work for companies who owenrs run the company.

Gary that Admiral is probably the best bow I've ever had, but it's hard to watch them headed the way they are, even with such outstanding products. That's the sucky part of it all. Great products ,but a CEO who doesn't have a clue. Should have stayed in the power tool industry

That is the issue in corprate america these days. These excutives who are inompetent are getting way to much time in their positions. We just launch a new website, 45,000 lines of code I worked on, if made bone head moves like a lot of these guys in charge do today, I would be fired:eek: Yet they are allowed to cook the books and lie than walk away with millions. After seeing a few things at Bowtech and reading what is going on, I am willing to bet it's a start of a down hill slide. You are correct the Admiral is the best bow I shot ever.

Whoa I can tell you that the CEO does indeed have a clue.
The previous CEO just stepped down this past Jan so we are not even a year into this.
The new president Mark Pezzoni has a passion that can match most of us here i can guarentee
this. Yes a good friend to many of us has been let go and it sucks but lets see how it plays out.

If one has a passion why let one of your most passionate employees go, the "just business" line holds little water with me.

    Good morning Peaches:D

    Peak..

Just so we are clear.Pat didn't single out or say anything about anyone. I got some information a few months ago about a few issues MR Pezzoni(new CEO) had brought up. It is from a very reliable source whom I won't name.

Used to be able to talk to someone at Bowtech instead of a machine. And if you did get a machine you'd get a call back in a timely manner. Used to be able to get bows on time. Used to be able to get accessories and clothing on time. Used to be able to order bows without the fear of getting shipped items you didn't order.

Pat remains to be loyal to Bowtech by not bad mouthing anyone. I have numerous stories I could tell you about, but I'll try to remain somewhat respectful of Bowtech's failures this past year.

I love my Bowtech bows, but it is very frustrating watching the once king of the mountain roll down the other side to try and save a few dollars.

Maybe Mr Pezzoni is passionate about bowhunting, but he doesn't have a hold on what's happenng at Bowtech right now. He needs to address alot of issues before its too late. I sincerely hope he can get things turned around.

Huh singling out? I didnt claim that one bro.
These failures you speak of could be the reasoning Mark is in place as of this past April. He is the president by the way
not the CEO. I can assure you he will do his best to get it turned around for sure. Even though I am a
hoyt and limbsaver guy we need BT around to keep some fun around the place, lol

I will miss Pat at the shows.

Always been a real good guy who understands a little humor now and again.

    BIG loss for Bowtech.

I've said enough for now. What your not getting is some of these ridiculous ideas HAVE come from the new PRES. ( excuse the previous ceo error.)

Anyway I don't want to go back and forth about this. I'm just saying I hope the new guy can get it straightened out. I don't know how you know Mark Pezzoni, but if you do maybe you can guide him to these posts so he can see what people are feeling.

I don't want Bowtech to fail, I have too many clothes, hats and accessories to replace if they do.. LOL
