I'm sorry but what a POS this built-in string stopper is on my new Marquis. Less than 100 shots and the stupid thing goes randomly flying off my bow. Needless to say I took the damn thing off and replaced it with a nice black String Tamer Junior and I'm back in business now.

With all the cool innovations Bowtech has come out with I really expected better from them.

J, let's just see what the 09 has to offer.

I've had zero issue with the stopper on any of my bows however, I did take the one off my 82nd and add a MeanV. The others are still in tact and flawless.

What kept happening was the string would get stuck in the little fins inside the stopper, then when I would draw back on the next shot it would pull the stopper out of place so I had to let down, put it back in place, then draw again. After awhile it got pretty old, then eventually it just flew off the bow altogether. Its in my desk now if you ever need an extra one. I'd be happy to send it to you. :D

I didn't like mine on the general either..really bothered me due to it hit the exact place I wanted my kisser. It shot great, but just didn't suit me, so I'm back on the guardian and unloaded the general.

I had no issues with mine on my 101st. However, I didn't like where it was located on the bow and I had a Mean V on the Commander and liked it so I ordered one for the 101. When it came in, Rob and I tried it both ways and I thought that the V was quieter and I also knew that I hadn't had any problems with it.

So far so good. Super easy to install, and the stopper is both big and soft. I shot about 20 arrows through my bow with it on and it seemed just as quiet as with the OEM stopper. All in all I give it a :tu:

I've only seen this issue with one Marquis that I've sold. Little Goat Tuff took care if it fairly quickly though. I've got probably 250+ shots through my 82nd at this point and have yet to have an issue.

I opened my case at last weekends GTG and to my suprise, the stopper on my Ally was GONE  Luckily, Dave sold me one for the low, low price of 8.99. I was thankfull for it, but it seems a bit pricy for a lil' piece of rubber. :bash:

Just an FYI... you can also turn the connector rod around backwards and put a Bowjax stopper on it and it'll work fine.

At least 1000 shots through my Marquis with no trouble.

True, but for a brand new $700 bow I shouldn't have to be replacing ANYTHING on it.

The String Tamer is a badass little device. I can't believe more ppl aren't using them, b/c they are super-user-friendly, and they look better than any of the other options out there.

No issues at all with my Elite, which was less than 700.00 dollars, now the one on my ROSS is a POS. I am going to have MeanV make me a new one!!!

I'm not disagreeing with you one bit, Justin... I think there's been enough feedback received on it that you may see some changes for the '09 lineup.
