just for once, why cant you bow testers. reviewers test them at 60 lbs and a 30 inch draw with a variety of arrow weights... more people shoot 60 than 70 ... I understand you have that short baby draw length, but at least do a 60 lb test ... come on man .. ;0) ... btw, cant stand short A-A bows either ... just sayin' ..

I would say majority shoot 70lb, good review as always.

I'm a Bowtech guy and have been for a long time. I switched from them a few years ago when they were having all the limb issues, but recently just switched back since they worked that issue out. In my opinion (for what its worth), I don't think there is another brand that gives you the speed, draw cycle and adjustability that Bowtech does. I love being able to simply move a module and stop to adjust DL, flip that module from Speed to Comfort draw cycles, move the deadlock cams, even tweak the flex guard while you tune. They produce great speeds, are very quiet and vibe free and have one of the best draw cycles on the market. The DeadLock cams were a homerun for them in many ways.

That being said. I am not impressed with this years offerings from a specs standpoint. Thats just me personally. I won't shoot a sub 30" ATA bow and I refuse to shoot a 6" brace height. I've hunted long enough and made enough mistakes with bow purchases through the years to know what works best for me and as a starting point, I look for 32-33" ATA and at the very least a 6.5" brace (prefer 7"). I knew they were going to rework the wildly popular SR6 froma few years ago. Everyone was losing their minds they didn't keep that configuration in the lineup.

btw, I own two BT's and my Ritual 33 ... I will not buy a sub 33inch A-A bow and my next bow will be a 60 lb max, age puts limits on you ... my 3 bows are 70lbers, all now shot at 60-62 lbs, no reason to go heavier IMO for me and I want the option to go lighter as I age, as it 'prolly will be the last bow I purchase .. speed does play into it for me, with my finished set up/30" draw, and a 430-450 gr arrow, I want 280/285 fps minimum, If I cant get it, I wont buy it and it has to be sooooooth drawing cause of my shoulder .. all 3 of my 'older bows' easily achieve those speeds at the 60lbish/arrow weight ranges ...smooth drawing is also a factor, I have an aging right shoulder, so no harsh draws for me .... some I know say go to a crossthingy, I tell them, I'll go back to firearms and I'll NEVER use one of those f-n crossthingy things, I despise 'em with a passion !! ... I really want a bow with either the BT or Elites tuning system so I can BH tune easily in the home (bareshaft) or field (BH), yes, I have shop at home, press, etc. .... Right now, its hard to find a better bow for me than the Ritual 33, but I do want that tuning system or I wont buy it ... if the SR350 was a 31" draw length so I could adjust in 1/4" increments to fine tune, I'd be interested, but it isnt ... as for the Revolt XL (may not achieve the speeds I want at 30" and my arrow weights, havnt yet seen a review that shows it will yet) and Enkore (good bow !!) but I'd like those wider Limbs of the Envision which is to short A-A for me .. so I'll wait for a smooth drawing 335/340 amo BT or Elite ...

I just bought a Revolt X last spring and it fits me perfect and shoots like a dream for me. Probably my favorite bow I've ever owned. The Deadlock tuning is really nice, but it honestly wasn't the selling point for me as I own my press and have never had an issue tuning with the yokes they used to have. But it is nice. The stupid easy draw cycle and shootability is what sold me on it. I'm with you, I'm getting older. This was my first 60lb bow and I'll never buy another 70lber.

Speed is not that big of a deal for me, but I'll take what I can. If I were hunting out west a lot where longer shots, etc were common, maybe I'd change my mind. But for whitetails inside of 40 yards I'm good with being in that 270fps range. The Revolt X IBO is 340 on the speed mods. Comfort is around 335. I shoot a 450gr arrow at 271 based on my chrono. Good enough for me.

at what draw length ??? .... I am a true measured 30" (6'-2"), but want the option of adjusting in the 1/4" up/down increments to find what is good for me ... with the Ritual I have to twist/untwist, even with my press, that gets annoying ...

I'm a 29" draw length. With the Bowtechs, they seem to come in 1/4" or 3/8" long on their stated draw lengths. You probably already know, but most of these companies come in a bit longer on draw length (probably by design to squeeze more speed out of them). I have always shot and felt better a touch on the shorter side of my DL so this actually works out for me.

Another cool thing with the bowtechs is you can "short stop" the modules. Set the modules at 28.5 and the draw stop peg at 29... Valley and hold for days... hahaha. This of course does cost you some speed. I like mine with a decent valley but I don't like that feeling of having to push the string forward to get it to go. Keeps me honest.

I set my bows at 28.5" on the module and draw stop peg, then play with loop length to get it just right. I can easily make very small adjustments in the loop to get it where I want it. My bow peaks at 62lbs.

I'm assuming you are on the comfort setting also ?? ... I want to find and shoot a Revolt XL and the SR350 with my draw and arrows see what I get at 60/30" ... the Revolt X is no longer made unfortunately, either of the "Solutions" miss what I am looking for ... The Elite Encore and Remedy are interesting, I wish they had the newer limbs of the Envision .. I can wait and see if something new pops mid summer ...

You may be right, but honestly, I don't know anyone who shoots 60 lbs. Most of the people I know shoot 70. But I like testing at 70 cause that's what I hunt with. And the same for my short draw length. There are a lot of short draw guys who thank me because almost all of the bow tests are done at longer draws. Can't please everyone.

Not sure if you were addressing me here or not. I tested the bows on the Performance Setting. Though I did also shoot them on the Comfort Setting...and of course the draws were much easier. I do like that option.

If the setting question was directed to me. I shoot comfort setting. I can easily pull and shoot the bow in performance, as its still a nice draw. But I just love that super smooth, easy to draw of the comfort setting when its cold as all hell and I've been in the stand for 6 hours.

Yea, I agree .... esp. when its cold .... some of these younger guys will pay the price when they get older .... for North American game , I dont see a need for much over 60 lbs, esp with the speeds/energy/momentum of these newer set ups and the good fixed heads that are out there ....

Yeah I always keep my SR6 on the Comfort setting…except when I used it on a Cape Buffalo. It’s such a nice feature to be able to change it like that. The speed range and ease of draw can vary so much between the 10 lb limb range and the 2 settings on top of that.
