Well I finally was able to find and get a leftover brand new 2009 Admiral.... :)

I have a few questions for the ones that own one.

Do you have any sort of Vibration Dampener on the Limbs? If so what kind fits well? I am doubting I will really need any since there is basically zero hand shock, but I guess you can never be too safe?

Does anyone shoot a QAD rest off of one? I guess this question will apply with any rest but do you have too have two bolts in the side holding it into the bow? I am only using one and I am not sure if I am afraid of over tightening it on there but it keeps sliding up and down on the invelvet??

Does anyone put rubber between the accesories and the bow?

I am sure I will have a couple more questions before it's all set and done but I am just looking for help on these few to get her set up and shooting!!

    Thanks!!!!

I ran a Limbdriver on my Admiral, so no help on the QAD...

Biggest thought though after reading your post though was... have you actually shot one yet? :) Reason I ask... I've NEVER heard of anyone wanting to add dampening accessories to an Admiral; it's probably THE most shock-free bow on the market, bar none.

Guess it couldn't hurt, but never heard of it...

    Greg........

The Limbdriver has about the same mount as the QAD. Do you have one bolt or two in your rest securing it to the bow? I may not be tightening it enough with the ONE that I have in it?

I have shot "an" admiral but I hav e yet to shoot this one. I know exactly what you mean by not needing limb dampeners....I was just thinking like you said "It could'nt hurt"?
Then again it could also be more added weight that is unecessary?

    Thanks!!!

I use one bolt to secure it, and the Limbdriver has a little lock-screw on one corner that I always tighten down as well.

Well it looks like according to QAD's website I will need to purchase some sort of mounting block to get the rest mounted correctly on the bow? I am going to call them tommorow to see what the block is for...so hopefuly I will be shooting the new bow sometime soon??

Buy a Limbdriver or an Octane Tripwire and be done with it. :)
