Looking to buy a new bow I would prefer to stick with bowtech or a Hoyt. My wingspan is 6'6 which puts my draw at 31.2. Any suggestions would be great.

PSE Freak, has a long draw length, that you can adjust without modules to find the right DL for you. But most bow will reach 31" with the correct modules.

I know the Bowtech Insanity CPXL will fit.
Guy came into the local shop and that was the only they had in stock that would fit him.
    He was a 31.5.
Also Obsession has a model, the SS I believe that goes up to 32.
I've had a chance to shoot some of their bows and their awesome also has a full transferable warranty.
    Worth a look.

Cant beat a Hoyt Carbon spyder 34 or a Faktor 34. Hoyt makes the best LD bows out there IMO. Im a 31" draw myself and i shoot a Prime Centroid and i have a Carbon Spyder 34 Long Draw on order.

have u shot bow before, that calculation may not always be right. its best to get fitted. I am 6'6" to and shoot 30 draw.
I guess it all depends on your arms.

yeah, make sure they measure you if they haven't already. I'm only 6-1 and have a natural 31" draw; but I can shoot a 30" no prob with a loosely-buckled release. You might want to try that; it's hard to find a 31".

Pro shop guys rarely believe I can draw that until I prove otherwise.

I have a 31.5" DL as well and my next bow will be the Insanity CPXL.

Im 6'2" and 31-31.5"... Why not shoot whats right for you? Loose release usually makes for other things being sloppy. You would benefit in form and speed going with what fits you. Loose release isnt a substitute for a bow that fits right

You shoot a 31" draw at 6-1?!? My draw length is 28.5" and I'm your same height.

Maybe I'm shooting too short of a draw length, but I believe my form is to good to mess with.

I believe the width of a persons chest has a lot to do with it. My dad is 6 feet tall and has a 31 inch draw length but it is because he chest is so wide.

Right there with you on long draw. Hoyt makes a bunch of stuff in a LD configuration. I shoot a PSE Vendetta at 31". It will go out to 32". Also out you haven't shot anything yet you may want to look around. Alot of manufacturers run a bit long. Mathews and bear are 2 of the top of my head I know seem to run long. Their 30" is more like 30.5 or so.

    I'm 6'3" w/ a 31" DL. A long DL is the #1 factor for me when buying a bow.

I went w/ a Bear Empire, adjusts w/o a press in 1/2" increments. I have it set at 30.5" and w/ the d-loop it feels perfect.

More bow companies are offering longer draws than there were 7 years ago. However many of them only offer 1 or 2 models in a long draw. Bear is one company that has realized there are a lot of long draw shooters out there.

I get what you're saying, but what can I say I'm a physical freak. I have broad shoulders, really long arms, huge hands, long fingers, and small wrists. With most releases, if I have a wrist strap on tight, the trigger ends up resting below the middle knuckle, so I have to wear the strap a little loose and let it ride up my hand a bit. This is what enables me to shoot a 30" instead of a 31".

'Sides, if you saw me shoot, you wouldn't worry about my "sloppiness." Not to brag, but I do alright. :)

A loose wrist strap will change your anchor, but has nothing to do with changing your DL. String angle (due to the axle to axle length), and the height of your anchor on your face are bigger variables.

I am 6'5" & my draw length was measured @ 31.5". For years I shot a "normal" bow with a 30" draw & obviously had to bend my elbow more than I wanted to. @ the time I couldn't afford a LD bow & most companies didn't even make one let alone in a mid level bow price. Last year I got a nice bonus from work & decided it was time to buy a proper fitting bow. I did tons of research & shot everything I could find. I decided on the insanity CPXL & have never looked back.
