I was reminded the other day at just how old I am and how long I have been hunting by an old pile of Bowhunting Magazines I had sitting in my hunting room. I would have to officially look but I know I have some 1983 issues laying there! Had a decent fall here in SW Iowa, it continues to be very dry and today December 1st not much snow. My time in the field and in the woods have been great memories! I originally founded IowaWhitetail.com many many years ago but sold it, then Whitetail-Images.com with my photography and now TheKingsDeer.com of which I just got back on-line today after a fun fall and a busy summer remodeling our home, a good start anyway. Anyway, I continue to get BowHunt or Die emails, and check in on this website periodically.
I can relate Tony, as I have a pile in my hunting room from the late 70's & early 80's. I certainly don't feel that old most days and I honestly don't know where those years went, but I have enjoyed the ride. I can remember when I first started hunting Iowa, I drew an archery tag every year before NE Iowa was mentioned in the magazines. Then the word leaked out and it was every other year, now it's every 3-4. I have seen a lot of changes in the archery industry in the last 40+ years and am grateful for the improvements. With any luck, I can do this for another 20-30 years, wishful thinking probably. Thanks for memory road reminder Tony.
