I just wanted to see what everyones attainable goals were and also what they really wish they could do if given a chance. My goals are to shoot my first deer and a buck. I want to shoot all the game animals in TN with a bow. To accomplish the turkey slam and to hunt elk and proghorn. Also I want go get an alligator. My dreams are much more lofty. I would love to try and do the north american super slam. Also a trip to africa would be nice. I also have a top secret dream that I won't say because I've never heard anybody doing it.
My goal for this year is to shoot a Mule deer. I am still regretting not going after any during my elk hunting trip. Last year was my first year and I got a decent whitetail buck so I'm just trying to work my way through the big game animals out here. I am hoping to get the mule deer this year, than the elk next year. I don't really have any interest in hunting anything other than deer, elk and coyotes. I think once I get one of each I will just try to get bigger/more mature animals each year.
Tag out these season (1 buck, 3 does). i hope they never come to my area but its a matter of time im sure, but I would like to take a hog sometime, coyote, black bear, elk. No interest in africa at all.
I want to tag out this year with my bow ... 1 Buck and 3 doe ...this year then follow up with a gun buck.
Very short term=..... just SEE a deer Season= Don't get skunked. Get as much meat as possible. Enjoy the pleasure watching my wife and son consume and enjoy meat I harvested with a bow. Longterm = Kill a 100"+ (maybe 150") on public land Kill a ruffed grouse with my bow Watch a deer pile up within sight Have one of those hunting show type days during the rut where you see deer all day long. Kill and mount a buck I have good trailcam pictures of.
Season goals-Kill a 3.5 year old 130"+ buck, and as many does as my freezers will hold. Future Goals-Being able to hunt elk, moose, caribou, antelope, and mulies.
My goal is to arrow a 140+ Buck in three states. Minnesota was kind on opening night. So one Down 2 left. Wisconsin oct 20th to 26th. Then North Dakota Nove 11th to 19th.
This is my first bow season... My goal is to learn the local land that I will be hunting (i know, i know... should have been thoroughly scouted by now... but i am kinda scouting and hunting and learning... all at once) Another goal is to enjoy the woods and all the wildlife that I encounter. I love to hear owls hoot and coy dogs howl and turkeys gobble... Last goal is to put myself in position to sling an arrow at a whitetail.. I have the archery part down cold, but have much to learn about reading sign, scouting, hanging stands, etc.. Good luck to all
