    Hi all!

My name is Ryan and I live in upstate ny. I'm originally from the city, but have ways been a nature enthusiasts. Turkey hunting had sparked my interest 3 years ago. I've watched countless hours of videos and now every deer and turkey season is off limits for extra activities other than hunting haha.

My hunting room only consists of my trophy turkey. First year of rifle I landed a small doe and this year bowhunting, my first year ever. I landed a big doe about 150lbs dressed.

My frustrations are this... I see the signs everywhere that bucks are present, yet I never see them! And believe me, I put hours in the stand every night after work and every weekend. Last night it was raining so I decided to go into the woods. I finally saw a buck... Two years deer hunting and my heart is racing! But I pushed it back. So I set up, and waited. He came back but was 100 yards away. I grabbed my grunt call and grunted a little. He looked my way for a split second and bam he goes off running away. He did not see me there was too much cover.

Am I wasting my time with the grunting or antlers clashing together?
