Bummer man! Wish you could have gotten an elk. This is a trip that I want to take in the next year or 2. Great pictures and at least you were out enjoying God's creations.

Too bad no Elk, but still sounds like it was a great time. And just think you would have had to hump all that meat out. I'm sure you would have done it gladly.

Hey, now you have more room in the freezer for whitetails! Bummer you guys didn't get an elk but that looks like some awesome terrain out there, I bet it's hard to not have a good time! :tu:

Very well written write up. Glad you guys had a good time. Elk have been quiet all over this year. Coming off a full moon and the hot temps is probably what hurt you guys the most, I would suspect. Still in the 80's here in MT:cry:

Heading out in the morning again to try to catch up to a great bull I had going last week.

I know one of the threads on here recently was about a "Dream Hunt". I didn't respond to it because there are a ton of places I'd like to visit and hunt, but after reading that article and seeing the pictures, I think this might be #1. Congrats on the trip and that scenery alone probably got close to making up for the lack of Elk. I'm glad you guys had a great time. keep up the good work.
