How come you guys only hunt private why don't you film any public land hunts like most us are doing. All the other shows do at least 50 percent of there shows on public is it cause our public is the worst around or you just dont wana hunt it ? Midwest whitetail gives great strategies and great tips on how to hunt and find public land spots but you guys never give tips or anything and just go hunt private when most of us can't relate to that I bet 80 percent of this site hunts public and not private so your really not helping us your just glorifying your hunts and what you guys kill it would be nice to see you guys put in work not be lazy and actually hunt some public were you gotta do it all that day find , hang , and hunt after all the hiking in with tons of gear. So can we see some public hunts from you guys or no i mean real public to here in illinois not the awesome managed public in Wisconsin or Iowa or minesotta either. I'm not trying to bash or talk crap just would just like to see more hunts that us guys can relate to watching the same spots and food plots on every season gets kinda old throw some illinois public in the mix your always talking about the highs and lows of hunting well public will give you the real highs and lows of actual hunts and hunters.

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish this morning on the forum. You are not going to get any sympathy from anyone with this attitude. Only YOU can make your situation better.

The problem with public land is not with the deer, the public is the problem.

Yet you've talked about offering thousands trying to lease private land...very few are going to waste time hunting public land when they have their own private land to spend time and resources on.

Well admittedly I don't keep up with all the shows or episodes of BHOD anymore so if there was any, I wouldn't know it. I think it would make an interesting series of segments for their shows to have a "quest for a deer on public land" for some of their hunters. Or have a field staff hunter that is mostly public land. I think that's a pretty interesting idea.

I know i have watched at least a couple episodes where the pro staff hunter specifically mentioned taking deer on public land! If Justin reads this maybe he can give specific episode numbers!! But they do show public land hunts!

I also like the idea of seeing some of these hunts alongside the private land hunts. I believe that I have seen some earlier episodes where some of the prostaff members were on public land. Just to squelch the idea of "doing it all in the same day," I hunt public land and do alot of scouting before coming in to actually hunt. I want to know where deer are moving and get away from where most of the hunters will be.

Honestly, most of us are NOT hunting public land and I would venture to say that most of us would NOT prefer to see public land hunts over private land hunts. I will occasionally hunt on public land, but I spend the majority of my time hunting 40 acres. So for me, I'd love to see more shows that cover strategies for small acreage. Others are hunting giant forest, and they would most likely prefer to learn strategies for hunting big timber.

There are plenty of ways to find private land to hunt so you don't "have to" hunt public land. You could also probably work harder at finding more obscure public land places so you are not battling dozens of other hunters.

You might want to work on your approach. Even though you say your not "bash or talk crap", that exactly what you are doing.

I'd argue that 99.99% of filmed hunts are on private ground. It's pretty rare to see any filmed hunts at all on public. Reality is, if you have access to quality private ground......not many people are going to pass that up.

I know Josh Fletcher has killed public land deer on the show, and Tom Alford will be filming on public this year too. Who knows if we will kill anything, but Justin and I will also be filming on public ground in Kansas this year.

Personally I think Midwest whitetail and the public land gig they have going is the best thing out Currently. All the putting in food plots and so forth just isn't my style. I'd venture to say more would like the public land style blogs and such too. This is all coming from a 100% public land hunter tho

On my side I'm a 100% private land hunter, I've put in my time of calling every property owner I could to find what we have and feel very blessed for it. O relate very well to the private land hunts but that's because there is no public land within 90 minutes from here. I love bow hunt or die for the private land hunt. And I love mid west whitetail for the public. Everyone can't be everything. But I think you get he best of both worlds from those two shows a right there
