I am now consider this site as my forum home. I am registered on 3 other sites now and I don't even want to be anymore. Why is that? Well, one of them has so much going on its just plain stupid, the first one i ever joined was crammed with evrything but, bow hunting and the last one is just uneventfull. I have been an active member here since May 2011 I think it was May when I joined. Anyways, I find this site to be the best one I have found. Everyone is friendly here, helpfull in every way they can be, knows there stuff and most of all quality bunch of guys that really have a passion for Bowhunting. Just thought I would let everyone know how much I really enjoy this site and the great bunch of guys and girls on here. I feel my knowledge has increased more from this site in the past 3-4 months than it would have in 5 years of trying to figure everything out on my own. I am not fortunate enough to have a dad or gandpaw that was able to teach me the hunting life and with you guys help I believe this season coming up and all to come will be great and way more enjoyable with hopefully less frustrations along the way. Thanks everyone for your help so far and in the future and to all the people that keep this site up and running thanks for your hard work.

They started crap on there about me with my custom calls , someone had asked me one time about a certain design predator call and i didnt have any pictures of my own to ask him if that was the design he was interested in me making on my lathe , so i found a picture of what i thought he was looking for and low and behold the call maker from that picture was contacted and regestisterd and the whole story got blown out of proportion that i dont make my own calls , so it started and i have never been back they all have there own oppinions and i can care less , i'm not gonna ever let a forum indict my pride and effort for what i did to save people money on my own spare time that i didnt profit off of when you figure out the time i have invested in each of my calls.

One of them was Archery Talk. I have only been a member there for a week or so and there were so many post about so many different things I just couldn't enjoy the forum. I'm not saying it isn't a good one, it just wasn't for me. One of the others was field and stream. It was ok at first. It was the very first forum I ever joined. I would ask a question about bow hunting and people would suggest things they did that only pertained to rifle hunting some would even tell me to buy a gun instead and on a few questions almost seemed they made fun of me for asking. Then there was the guys who suggested I make minerals out of plain table salt and grape Koolade. Everyone knows how new I am at this and it didn't seem like a bad idea. Yeah well, that worked about as well as I suspect plain water would have. lol Not going to name one of the others but, the guys on there are really helpful and knowledgeable just not the same as being on here.

I know the feeling. I had something similar happen to me but, it wasn't really another manufacturer. It was a guy who was a huge fan of a similar product and was upset mine was superior. Long story short I developed a vehicle specific product in the car audio world and it was nice, worked better than others, looked factory, and no one else made one that had some of the fetures mine had. I got tired of him harrassing me every time I turned around and I left the forum.

There is one other site that I really enjoy reading but don't post a lot there. I recognize a fair amount of people from this site on there as well. I don't go to the "old site" anymore. I go to AT just for the classified which is hard to beat.

This site is big enough to get activity but not enough to overwhelm you either.

Archery talk... haha, funny thing happened to me today over there, I use the classifieds religously it's awesome, but never posted anywhere else really...

Well my buddy and I made a homemade shooting machine, it needed some tweaking, so he posted for help, with pics and videos and all. All good, I thought I would have a little fun with it so I told him that was the Gayest POS I'd ever seen... I mean I helped build it, can't I rip on it?

Anyway the mod didn't know it and I got "3 infraction points" :D I can't blame him if he didn't know, but it was funny. I call this home, people know me by my first name, I look forward to posting and reading posts, Like you I didn't have a "true" hunting family, so This became my family at the old site and has taken my hunting skills way beyond the level they were on or would be on now. I owe to lot's of people on here, Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy don't it?

Likewise. Been invloved a couple of times on the other place, but can't stand all the bashing and BS that goes along with it. Not a big post guy until here. Kind of want ot be more involved here. Very helpful, no bashing, etc. Plan to stay .

From what I have seen this deer contest can get pretty intense!!! I cant wait to get the season started. i probably will lay back and do my job as a team member and add points to the board. Other than that I want to see how much crap these vets talk back and forth to each other. it should get interesting.
