Great post Duke. I lack the ability to put what I think down in words, but you damn near covered it all.

So....on average....1/3 of his teammates have disliked him? And that's good?

I don't feel so bad, now. And heck...they knew/know him better than I do.

If Jared Allen likes him, he is probably okay. Dude hates QBs :P

Oh and he did sing that song for Percy Harvin, after the WIN. He's a team player :)

He even made Sid the Kid famous ;)

I'd be interested to see actual poll numbers off the Viking's roster, I bet there are actually very few that dislike him after spending the season with him. I just don't know how you can't get behind a guy like this.

You know it's funny, if Favre weren't part of the vikes this year I would be right there agreeing with the criticism , hell I'd probably have been leading the argument...lol. I even remember saying that I "hated" him a couple years ago. Funny how an attitude can change once he joins the home team. Guess that's the difference is real "hate" and sports "hate".

Really can you really hate a guy you don't know? We see very little of any athlete to get a true read on them. Tiger had us fooled for years, Phil is no gem either. There are very few athletes these days who are good people at heart. The one person I have met who I can say is a good guy, and his track record proves it is Jack, he is just a class act.

Looking at some things Brett has done in the past he seems to be a class act also. I really don't know the dude, I know he plays hard and shows up every day, so he has my respect!!

as my signature says: 80% of success is showing up

Dude has been showing up for 19 years. And the drama was made bigger than it needed to be by the NFL and media...why...because they need Favre - he has wrote a lot of other paychecks in his days just by showing up.

How many haters have ever missed work? Well Favre hasn't - and never has excuses...man I hope he wins another super bowl...

ONLY reason I read through the thread up to this point... and stopped reading it after I saw the above comment... because that's exactly what I was going to say. :)

Even when he was a Packer, I was never really a big Favre fan. Don't ask me why, just didn't like something about him. Granted I know he is a great QB, but I just couldn't do it.
Aaron Rodgers on the other hand, is already my favorite Packer of all time, along with Charles Woodson.
