Bowhunting a sport?

I don't see bowhunting as a sport.Hunting is deeply personal to me and I am definitely not competing with any one.

 

The conflict lies in the same in the definition/interpretation of the word sport.

We are considered sportsmen after all aren't we?

Then again, you can describe a lot of things as being a sport. I've never really thought about it before, and to be honest if it's considered a sport or not...it would make no difference to me.

Would fishing tournaments be considered a sport then? They are competing against several others to reach a common goal of putting the most weight in the boat.

 

Athletes competing against other athletes......

I'm trying to think of a sport that doesn't cover.
