Invent a go back in time machine and be able to re shoot at the three maby four P&Y bucks that i failed on miserably in the past Thats all i want
130, that's all we are stopping in on Nov 7th for anyhow. It's a deal. Now on with the trip, where's breakfast at?:d I needed someone to go back and video my redeeming myself anyhow. It was one big ugly mess. Someday I will have the courage to show the video to more than two people.
P&Y buck off my property in PA Either an Adirondack (gun or bow), or bow specific (non adirondack) black bear Bull elk, with a bow Bull moose, with a bow Bull caribou, with a bow Any deer, trad equipment
I guess I can add something:d:d A P&Y buck off my properties is SW OK....this fall. A B&C buck off those same properties sometime in the future. An elk from New Mexico AND Colorado. And last, some crazy off-the-wall hunt, perhaps bison.
1. Never let hunting compromise or get in the way of my wife and kids. Continue to keep/teach hunting in my family as a way of life, not a sport. 2. Live off of elk, venison, wild game period the rest of my life. All D.I.Y. from field to freezer. (The same with our gardening.) I just like eating what God meant for us to eat, before man screwed it all up. 3. Selfishly; My one goal would be to; Find and kill an Idaho state record whitetail Buck with my bow. Nt or Typical wouldn't matter. 4. Hunt whitetails in all regions of the USA/CAN with a few close friends and take my boys if the want to be a part of it when they get older. 5. Whitetail hunt with my brother at least 1 time anually until we can no longer do it. 6. Kills some critters with my recurve.
P&Y PA Buck Take a PA Turkey on the ground with NO blind Black Bear in PA with a Bow Bull Elk with a bow I'm sure I will think of more as life progresses.
Hey maybe by the time you get most of the way done we'll have 'em here in the 49th state too. Then you'll have to go to all 50. (Some got loose in the Palmer/Wasilla and Homer areas and we even had a couple get loose here in Kodiak.) Global warming's going to have to kick it into high gear before we get a successful nesting season though!
Man, I am telling ya'll. If someone invents a time machine, I'm outta here! I would start with a T-rex, a cavebear, a sabertooth tiger, and a wooly mammoth. I'd get them mounted, kiss the wife, and dive back in... I still have my three hunting goals: The N. American Super Slam, a good representive deer from all 50 states, and completing SCI's world hunting award program using archery gear. Where there's a Will there's a way! A big bear (griz) and a cape buffalo are the most pressing for me currently.
P&Y class buck with my bow. 100+ class buck with my recurve. All of the major big game species with my bow. Turkey with my bow. I think all of these goal are quite attainable. Im sure my standards will raise once I get a few of these accomplished!
Nicely played sir. I wouldn't have even caught had you not have capitalized it. What exactly does the SCI World Hunting Award Program consist of? Al, we are goin to have to do a trip together one of these days when schedules aline.
Trevor, I love SCI. It is hands down the best wildlife preservation/conservation organization, with clout, out there. Moreover, SCI does more to protect everything about hunting (gun right, public access to land, etc.) both domestically and internationally than any other sportmen's association-most other groups keep a watchful eye on SCI and follow suit. The SCI World Hunting Award, introduced in 1995, was the highest award in the World Hunting Awards Program, recognizing extraordinary efforts in conservation of wildlife. It has been fuel for the fire of many hunters such as Gary Bogner, Chuck Adams, and Jim Shockey (and toss my name into the list). To date only 60 hunters have qualified for this prestigious award. SCI members must have taken 13 SCI Grand Slams and 20 SCI Inner Circles including the Fourth Pinnacle of Achievement and the Crowning of Achievement. The method of take is totally decided upon by the hunter (firearm, bow, or muzzleloader). The slams include: AFRICA BIG FIVE AFRICAN 29 EUROPEAN DEER SLAM GRAND SLAM OF BEARS OF THE WORLD GRAND SLAM OF CATS OF THE WORLD GRAND SLAM OF DANGEROUS GAME OF AFRICA GRAND SLAM OF ELK OF NORTH AMERICA GRAND SLAM OF MOOSE OF THE WORLD GRAND SLAM OF NORTH AMERICAN CARIBOU GRAND SLAM OF NORTH AMERICAN DEER GRAND SLAM OF NORTH AMERICAN WILD SHEEP GRAND SLAM OF WHITE-TAILED DEER NORTH AMERICAN 29 SOUTH AMERICA SLAM OF INDIGENOUS ANIMALS WILD TURKEY SLAM (I believe there were two new slams added this year-i.e. the hunter can pick and choose which slam he wants to pursue). The Inner Cicles include: ANTLERED GAME OF THE AMERICAS ANTLERED GAME OF THE WORLD CHAMOIS OF THE WORLD GAZELLES OF THE WORLD GLOBAL HUNTING AWARD GOATS OF THE WORLD HUNTING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD IBEX OF THE WORLD INTRODUCED TROPHY ANIMALS OF NORTH AMERICA MOUNTAIN GAME OF THE WORLD OXEN OF THE WORLD PIGS AND PECCARIES OF THE WORLD PREDATORS OF THE WORLD PYGMY ANTELOPE OF AFRICA RED DEER/WAPITI OF THE WORLD SHEEP OF THE WORLD SPIRAL-HORNED ANTELOPES OF AFRICA TOP TEN AWARD TROPHY ANIMALS OF AFRICA TROPHY ANIMALS OF ASIA TROPHY ANIMALS OF EUROPE TROPHY ANIMALS OF NORTH AMERICA TROPHY ANIMALS OF SOUTH AMERICA TROPHY ANIMALS OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC Fulfilling the requirments of the slams and inner circles with a bow, as you know, has taken me around the world. I would not trade a second of what I've experienced and learned! It has been an awesome endeavor. I may never complete the program, but I will give it hell trying!
