So, I had gotten the meat back from the butcher last week and cooked some deer steak Sunday night. I ended up eating it all week. Man, that was delicious. I have been contemplating switching sights to an older single pin that I have to work on shooting at distances and putting the 5 pin back on for hunting.
Congratulations on your first deer. Thanks for sharing your story. My archery season is over tell November. i have a couple chuckers to settle a score with then ducks.
So, the law enforcement job didn't pan out. I was flagged a no go at the behavioral sciences interview. So, I'm refocusing my efforts. I really liked the area and am looking for an it job now, considering it was my job in the army.
So, here's my 2016 plans, as of now. I'm going to put in for tags by myself this year. My stepdad has offered to come and set up deer camp, so tag depending, I can take my kids out with me this year.
I had an up and down season. The positives were that I was able to take my kids out on multiple trip and enjoyed that very much. The biggest issue was all the bucks (I only got a buck tag this year) were on private lands and I couldn't get access. I've reassessed my options for next year and will only put in for areas and hunts I enjoy.
I'm gonna take my little brother out next year. Makes the experience even better. Good luck on the rest of your season if you're still going Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
