I think there are only a few states that require it. I am not sure which ones. I have hunted a handful of states, so far I have not needed the bowhunters ed yet.

I took the class in person back around 2000 -2002. It wasn't required, but I wanted to take it just in case of an out of state hunt. I'm in NWPA (Erie, PA). No shooting test either. I wish it had one. Did have a blood trailing course. Red dye in water. Wow I'm getting old , 2000 now 2021, holy crap
I have personally hunted both of those states and did not need the bowhunter ed certificate for either of those, but still worth looking into to make sure nothing has changed recently.
I took the hunters education course because I got in on an out of state lease. I took the international bow hunters course because here in WV it’s required to be eligible to participate in an urban hunt. Did both and I’m over 50. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
