I hope it is a hoax because I might be down there in three weeks and my 270 pound butt can't legally carry a handgun while hunting in this darn Liberal state:mad:

If this is true i guess its more like the lion got shocked when it realizied that i was a human it did just attack and then gave up.
because humans wont have a chance if the lion rly wanted to kill without a gun and also you need to be rdy to shoot before your down. because reaching for the gun while your down wont work.

Sounds fishy, but what would have tore up his jacket and hat like that? They said his coat was tore all the way down to his belt...

As far as a kid being able to fend off the lion, maybe it was really sick or near death or something. That would seem more reasonable to me since it tried attacking a human. Also, they mentioned the "kid" was over six foot tall and over 200 pounds. Not a little guy. Still hard to believe, but until they can prove otherwise, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

thats like the story where a guy got attacked by a 400 pound black bear and he killed it by crushing its skull with a stick he picked up.. he was later attacked by peta for killing the animal which attacked him "he could've just run" they said. I believe the kid a hunter doesn't mistake what he sees I know they exist in the Adirondack Mt's. a buddy of mine saw giant tracks mixed in with coyote tracks and his neighbor said he saw it cruise across his driveway. My dad's old timer friend said he saw a black one up in Hamilton County That crossed the road in front of him and it had a 6 foot tail he said its tail was almost on the yellow line's while its body was already in the shoulder..

If he saw something that big it was not from our country. Probably not our planet!

This is ( was?) Number 5 B&C at the time we killed it. 205lbs empty stomach. Nowhere near a 6ft tail, more like a 3foot tail. By that measure what was seen would have been prehistoric! I'm a Professional Hunter in Africa for 18 years, no cats there have a 6 foot tail either, even a huge male African lion would not have more then a 3 foot tail.

I saw this story about a week ago. The newspaper article I saw did not say much but the paper it was in looked like the sun tabloid. I don't know if I buy it. And for all you gun carriers it is illegal in Illinois to carry period. We have the strictest gun laws in the nation thanks to the idiot liberals in our state.
