I am thinking about buying a bow fishing rig, but I live in northwest Illinois with not many places to bowfish. I like the PSE discovery full package for 299$. I would probably buy it from cabbalas only because I get a 50%+ discount on everything cabbalas brand and about 30% for most other things. Unless there was a better deal looking me in the face thats probably where I would go. What do think about spending 299$ on a rig that I might not use much. I am definitely interested but I would appreciate some feedback. Also, if you see any good bows (used or not) at a fair price send the link! Thanks all.

I just use a old recurve and it works fine, if I was you I'd go grab a old bow out of the basement or go grab a used one on ebay. Just my opinion

+1 on what Carsonbow4 said. A bow fishing rig will be subjected to way more abuse than any hunting bow will. Buy something cheap that can be easily replaced. Old school compound bows are only about $50 or less on ebay.
