How's it going guys. First post here on bowhunting.com. Always been a browser of the site and decided to join, thanks to bloodcrick.
Hows the bowfishing going for everyone so far this year? Been pretty good for myself in the Indiana and Kentucky area.
Bigheads are up decent with the big boys starting to come to the surface, silvers are up everywhere and enough to keep ya occupied and shooting your limit of spoonies in Kentucky is not a problem.
Attached is a pic of 2 nice bigheads taken last weekend from the Ohio River.

Good to meet everyone and hopefully see some of ya on the water.

    Great shooting man!

I am new to this bow fishing thing. So do you actually clean and eat all those carp? Donate them? Make them into fertilizer? I have been reading what people do with them and it really just varies from person to person. I know that the carp is a bony fish and it needs to be properly cleaned. But what do you do with them and what is your suggestion?

    Thanks!

Ive done all of what u mentioned at least once. I have donated some grass carp to the local mexicans (they love em), have dumped them into buddies field for fertilizer and have tried to fillet the bigheads and silvers but didnt finish cause they smell soo bad lmao.
I suggest, and this is what I do, but i make fertilizer out of them. I know that some people find that inhumane and frown upon it, but thats what I do.
Good luck to ya and hope you enjoy bowfishing as much as I do man!
