During the season I pack some wax in one the pockets of the bow riser. When I'm on stand I'll take a little and run it up and down the string to keep it in good shape. Otherwise I try and wax it when it looks like it needs it. I look over my bow before I shoot it each time.
I am lucky if I wax my strings and cables two or three times a year and I beat the hell out of my bows dragging them all over the place, they see a lot of time in the field and traveling though a year. I don’t see wax making whole hell of lot difference, I am still looking at about a 2-3 year life span on set of strings, and modern materials stay looking better longer than ever. The Dacron days are over … and wax is wax, doesn’t matter what brand…by the one with the coolest label and package …
