I just researched it because of your thread. It seems that people either hate it or love it. I was suprised that Bowturbow posted bad reviews on thier site. Weird, considering some people really slammed it because of safety issues. However, in theory, isn't this the same exact concept as factory installed roller guides, or do they claim to be something more/different?

Twist your cables up, you will get the same results. Or just simply crank up the weight.

ive been following it for a while wondering also. at the deer and turkey expo i watched there demo then stood there and griller him a bunch about it too. i told him i shot an admiral and he told me they had a setup for it? he wasnt pressing the more fps issue as much as he was the significant increase in the wall in your draw cycle. he says it gets rid of the "spongy" feeling blah blah i forget exactly. bottom line as he had my attention for a while till he started goin into his billy mays super speed talking and i immedeitly went into my try to be polite and walk away like i gave a poo ! whats everyone else think of this? thought about suggesting it to my brother to put on my tomkat ?

It ups your draw weight, just the same as the "bow turbo" does.

Yeah well the whole point with it is, is that you can shoot less weight and ur bow will be faster! There are numerous other things u can do to make ur bow faster too without having to crank ur bow up! Granted there is not a huge hype in the fps, but it does help! I watched there demonstration at the Wisconsin Deer and Turkey Expo and they sold me. A lady there was shooting forty pounds and got 18 fps more with the bow turbo. I watched them change over from cable slide to the turbo right in front of me. So im guessing it works. Its pretty much the same thing as mathews, bowtechs, etc. rollers they have in replace for slides. And im pretty sure if u set it up rite u should have no problems with equipment failure! The idea makes sense and they had good propaganda!

No it does not up ur draw weight, it makes ur bow shoot smoother! They are just cutting down vibration. Vibration hurts speed!

Did they put the bow on the scale before and after installing the bow turbo? If they did, did it read the same?

The bow turbo does increase draw weight. It's main purpose is to add pre-load into your harness and limbs. That is how it increases speed.

Yeah but that isn't there big push...it is to cut down on vibration. And no they didn't put the bow on a scale before and after, but they didn't change the bow at all. I watched them like 5 feet away go from a normal cable slide to the bow turbo.

yeah but by putting the bow turbo on it could have uped the draw weight. in the video they did not but it on a scale to see if it uped it. it shoot faster but why, and the way the talk about it on the video they talk about how it ups the fps.

This is how it works and it does change the bows geometry. They remove the cable slide and place his "turbo" on. He pushes it (the turbo) further forward than where the cable slide would sit at brace. This adds preload into the harness and limbs. This in turn ups the draw weight. How much the draw weight is increased is dependent on how far forward he locks down his "turbo" on the cable rod.

Thank you buckeye for putting it down properly for me. I just didn't know how to word it without making it sound like bashing.:deer:
